Get to Know InLoox: Linh – Marketing & PR Manager at InLoox Headquarters in Munich

Kathrin Jungwirth, Tuesday 22 October 2019 | Reading time: unknown

Are you interested in getting to know the people behind InLoox better? InLoox employees regularly introduce themselves on the blog. Take a look behind the scenes and find out more about Linh, who has been part of the marketing team since 2015.

Linh has been with InLoox since 2015 and previously studied English and Communication Sciences at the LMU Munich. She is part of the Marketing team and responsible for search engine and display marketing. She also organizes and holds webinars on the topics InLoox, Outlook and project management. You can also thank Linh for the many Instagram photos and videos, which document the work life of our office dog Winnie.

1. What motivated you to apply for a job at InLoox?

I actually heard about InLoox by chance. In a lecture in communication sciences I got into a conversation with a fellow student. When I told her that English was my major, she mentioned that the company she works for as a student trainee, InLoox, was looking for a writer for the English corporate blog. So I started as a working student at InLoox and stayed at after my studies because I enjoyed (and still enjoy) the work, the great colleagues and the pleasant work atmosphere.

2. What do you like most about the project management software InLoox?

I like the fact that you can use InLoox in so many ways. We (= the marketing team) actually use the software to plan our projects. We plan some projects completely via the Kanban board, for other projects we use detailed Gantt planning (including activities, milestones and tasks) and then there are projects where we only work with milestones. This flexibility makes planning easier, as we can adapt to the individual requirements of each project.

But to be honest: I like the ping-tone when you mark a task as done in the mobile app best. You always feel a sense of achievement when you hear that tone! ;-)

3. Which project would you like to see accelerated?

Definitely all projects that the MVV/MVG (Munich public transportation) is currently implementing. The current infrastructur is simply too overloaded and compared to other cities, you have to wait far too long for the next train, so the trains are way too crowded, especially during rush hour. That's really annoying.

4. What profession did you want to pursue as a child?

I always wanted to become a veterinarian as a child - until I realized that the job entails more than cuddling and playing with cute animals all day long. And since I can't see any blood, I quickly let go of that career aspiration.

5. Who or what would you like to be for a day?

I actually can't think of anyone.

6. What is your guiding principle or motto?

Nothing is impossible. The word itself says "I'm possible".

7. What is your favorite place in Munich?

I don't really have a favorite place - Munich has so many great places to offer (except for the transfer area between the underground trains U1/U2 and U3/U6, that's a terrible place). But if I had to decide, I'd say the English Garden.

8. Where would you like to live if you had a free choice?

I have lived in some other places for a while and can say: No city can compete with Munich. I could imagine living somewhere else for a couple of years - but I will always be drawn back to Munich.

9. What do you prefer to do when you're not helping InLoox customers?

I like to go out for dinner with friends and always enjoy discovering new restaurants. I also like going on long walks, reading, watching cute animal videos on Instagram and sleeping a lot.
