Munich, April 4, 2023 - Outlook appointments can now be used for time recording, status notifications can be retrieved individually, and project data can be read by external project members. The current release update focuses on an open Outlook connector as well as a filter function against the flood of e-mail notifications within project teams.

InLoox 11.2 primarily facilitates the interaction between e-mail inbox and project management platform. With the Quicktrack function, a newly introduced Outlook connector ensures that booking working time to specific projects becomes easier. Project-relevant appointments can be dragged and dropped from the calendar onto the corresponding projects, where InLoox automatically books the recorded times as project working times. A traffic light system also provides information on which days appointments have already been fully booked and on which they have not: booked days are marked green, days with appointments that have not yet been booked are marked orange. "When it comes to realistically estimating the project duration, people often forget about the working time that is spent on routine meetings, coordination phone calls or travel times. To counteract this, we implemented the calendar integration in InLoox Web App," explains Dr. Andreas Tremel, co-founder and CEO of InLoox.

Manageable

With the new filter function for notifications, users can specifically control for which changes and updates they want to receive an update email. This changed view on project updates - pull instead of push - should help InLoox users to control how detailed they are informed about the respective status in the project. This should make it easier to see the big picture and help avoid the overwhelm or lack of transparency caused by a flood of email notifications every day.

The InLoox update is also accompanied by innovations in the area of mind mapping. Specifically, a mindmap planning workflow can now be implemented with InLoox for Windows, and InLoox Web App now has the ability to create mindmaps for the first time. There have also been changes regarding licensing.

Also readable for externals

The option to include colleagues or external parties involved in a project via a free "read license" was requested by many customers and has now been implemented in the product. To ensure data protection and confidentiality despite the read function, the read license is equipped with the proven, granular InLoox authorization management.
